Who am I?

My name is Neil Doherty, and I am a football (soccer) enthusiast with a passion for collecting that spans nearly four decades.

Since 1985, I have been amassing a stockpile of vintage Panini sticker albums and loose stickers, immersing myself in the rich history of the beautiful game through collectibles. While stickers have been my longstanding passion, the world of football cards has recently captured my attention. Over the past six months, I have dived head first into this exciting world, navigating its complexities and intricacies with the wide-eyed curiosity of a newcomer.

It's been a journey of discovery, challenges, and revelations – one that I'm eager to share with you through ND Soccer Capital.

My passion for football extends beyond collecting, encompassing a deep appreciation for the sport’s history, tactics, and cultural significance, creating a desire to share my knowledge and experiences with fellow enthusiasts through various mediums.

As a twice-published author and experienced interviewer, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my insights on the sport, drawing from conversations with football legends, respected journalists, and devoted fans alike. My most recent work was published by Pitch Publishing, one of the largest publishers of sports books in the UK, reflecting my commitment to delivering quality content to fellow football enthusiasts. My journey into authorship began with self-publishing my first book, which served as my initial foray into entrepreneurship, involving tasks like hiring an editor, licensing cover art, and mastering book formatting.
